A cat bite last month sent me to E. R. within a day where I spent 8 days, including 9/11, in the hospital--unbelievable, huh?--with an arm double the size of the other. It took awhile to grow a cuture but it was the usual suspect, pastuerella.They had to cut thru a muscle and remove necritized tendon sheaths. Now my left hand--and I'm a lefty--is still badly compromised from the surgery. I have nightmares of my helplessness when my main hand's out. I wrote stories to try to regain range of motion--but it is too sore to type them up here. |
